Real Bat-eared Fox Skeleton - Articulated
The bat-eared fox, native to the African savanna, is named for its large bat-like ears. To accommodate its largely insectivorous diet, this fox has developed some special adaptations: the teeth of this species are much smaller than teeth of other canid species and its lower jaw has a step-like protrusion called the sub-angular process, which allows for rapid chewing.
- This specimen was formerly used as a display in our museum. Upon purchase, it will undergo refurbishment, which may take up to two months to complete based on the current workload of our processing team.
- We can ship this on a temporary plywood base for no additional cost, or we can order a custom black base for it. Please contact our sales team for further pricing information.
Due to this specimen’s size, additional shipping charges may apply. Please contact our sales team for a custom shipping quote.
